DE Das Kollektiv untersucht kritisch das Verhältnis von Wildnis und Zivilisation. Kernthema des Projekts ist Erde als Ursprung von Leben. Dabei wird der Vorgang des Kompostierens anschaulich gemacht. Er steht symbolisch für den Kreislauf des Lebens, aber auch von Wertstoffen: Aus Kompost wird Humus, der ein Teil von Erde ist. Diese ermöglicht wieder neues Wachstum. Beim Kompostieren kann bis zu 70 °C Wärme entstehen. Die Skulptur ähnelt einem Heizpilz: ein Feuer der Zukunft?

EN The collective critically examines the relationship between wilderness and civilization. The core theme of the project is the Earth as the origin of life. In this work, the process of composting is made visible, symbolizing the cycle of not only life, but also of recoverable materials. Compost becomes humus, which is part of the soil, enabling new growth. Moreover, composting can generate temperatures of up to 70°C. The sculpture resembles a patio heater – a fire of the future?
