DE Diese Materialstudie untersucht Lösungsansätze für ressourcenschonendes und kreislauffähiges Textildesign. Nur ca. 1 % textiler Abfälle wird in der Modeindustrie bisher verwertet. Naturfasern wie Flachs oder Leinen bieten sich als langlebige, hochwertige Rohstoffe an, um sie möglichst lange im Materialkreislauf zu erhalten. Mit einem speziellen Verfahren wurde daraus ein Vliesstoff hergestellt, der reißfest und waschbar ist. Er kann in der Textilindustrie vielseitig eingesetzt werden.  (Masterarbeit)

EN The aim of this material study is to explore possible solutions for resource-saving, recyclable textile design. At present, only about 1% of textile waste is recycled in the fashion industry. Yet natural fibers like flax and linen are durable, high-quality raw materials which could be kept in the material cycle for a very long time. A special method was developed to produce a nonwoven fabric that’s tear-resistant and washable. It can be used in a variety of ways in the textile industry. (Master’s project)
